In every aspect of our lives, socialization brings us to the farther realm that would make us understand our goals and aspirations as prompted by our experiences. Being a free agent of society, my life is driven by goals, motivations and experiences.
These are the things that I think help me stand against the hurdles of life. My dreams and aspirations to help other people who are in need of help, made me realize and think about my college education.
I grew up as a child who wanted and needed many things in life. With all the things that I wished I have, the emotional and social implications of the people around me made me think of my future goals in life that could further enhance my interpersonal skills as well as the happiness evoked by charitable actions.
Though the work of nurses seems to be very tiring, at the end of the day, the motivation trickles down my spine because of the joy of helping gives me psychologically. Not only does it help me grow professionally, but my child experiences and my education made grow empathically without being affected too much with the situation to the point that emotions run out and stops the time. Socialization in school is more oriented in interpersonal and interrelational situations, which made me think that people should always be kind to others.
Another trait I learned in school is the act of preparedness which is important at all times especially in my chosen field of study. The alertness is taught in school in case of emergency situations, and likewise encourages people to act properly during unexpected circumstances. And these situations surely are needed in the kind of profession I am aiming to be.
On the other hand, my peer groups also have some effect on my academic aspirations. My friends and family made me think of the value of friendship and relationship which made me think that in every social relationship, people tend to give their best to whom they love, and I applied this understanding to my academic aspirations and passions.
Whereas, I put my best efforts and ideas to everything I do as it would help me build my great future. With all of these, my peer group encouraged me to strive and I also encourage them to do their best in everything they do.
That is how I gain friends through socialization. It is a give and take relationship, like the educational and occupational goals and actions I have in mind and I do in life. Just like me, most of my peers go to school. This way, they also share some experiences and knowledge they gain and they aspire throughout their entire academic life as well as personal experiences. I did not have college entrance interviews nor instructor counseling, as well as vocational guidance tests before I went to college.
With all of these reflections and ideas, I am pretty satisfied with the way I handle my educational status and life in general. Murray and Toya N. Retrieved 22 May from https: Political socialization refers to the process by which people develop political beliefs and values that lead to longtime political affiliation Rimmerman, , p.
This development of this process could be in the short or long term. This short period development comes mostly from a single action that leads individuals to prefer ideologies of one party. Numerous arguments have been given to support his interesting ideas and they left a big question mark for readers to think about. The way humans act and the way humans are have to do with different aspects of their life which they were brought up to.
I have had the opportunity to volunteer with the local animal shelter and provide basic care to the stray animals. With the help of my biology teacher, I was able to start a 4-H club on campus. Many of the other students on campus developed an interest in the animals and now our club has members. My family also has many animals for which I provide care, including basic needs as well as first aid.
I find that I enjoy that aspect of pet ownership best.
